Ultimate Fairweather Fan

The Ultimate Fairweather Fan

Connor's current approach to watching sports is quite amusing as he is the ultimate fairweather fan. First, he is not really a sports fan, as it can interfere with the educational programming he watches, such as, Sponge Bob Square Pants (Thanks to Sponge Bob, he learned all about a "spatula"). I'm less of a sports fan than I used to be, though I still like to watch basketball.

Back in the 80s I used to root for the Boston Celtics. I now root for Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns. I'm not really a Celtic fan anymore - I'm a Phoenix Suns fan. This evolution of switching favorite teams took decades. Connor switches favorite teams a little quicker. Connor will switch his allegiance with a change in the score! Who's winning, Dad? I explained to him the essence of a sports fan, but he simply replied, "I only root for the team that is winning". Well, at least he is never disappointed in the outcome of a game!
